The Spice Girls are said to be splitting and cutting short their comeback tour after a string of bust-ups fired by the two Mels.

Exhausted by the gruelling schedule, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm told the other three girls: “We’ve had enough.”

Now the band are chopping six dates from their £100million tour, costing them millions in lost earnings and disappointing thousands of fans.

The band reunited in June after seven years apart, unveiling plans to play dates on five continents but the Spice Girls world tour is about to come to a grinding halt on February 26, with Australia, China. South America and South Africa given the flick.

In a statement, the group said, "Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria."

The split will be the second in their career and most prpbably the last.
