Foo Fighters' founder, primary songwriter and frontman David Grohl says his little girl gets the credit for changing his writing style.

Grohl says when Violet was born in 2006 he felt like "superman in a way because I had to be." Grohl adds he "can't be scared of writing things that I really feel." The Foo Fighters' current album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace" has five Grammy nominations including album of the year.

The first single, "The Pretender," spent a record 17 weeks at number one on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. The Foo Fighters will play the song at the 50th anniversary Grammy Awards on February 10th.
