Alex Turner's has completed his forthcoming solo project.

The Arctic Monkeys frontman has been working on an album of new material with former Little Flames guitarist Miles Kane.

Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford has been producing the currently unnamed project, in Paris and it has been heavily influenced by Scott Walker.

Speaking about the recordings, Ford explained: "It was amazing, really quick and we had fun, played ping pong, ate cheese and drank red wine."

Ford, who also produced Arctic Monkeys' "Favourite Worst Nightmare", said the record will be complete once it has been given some orchestration.

"We're doing some strings with a guy called Final Fantasy who does a lot of the Arcade Fire strings.

"The stuff we were really listening to was like Scott Walker and I think there's some really great songs on there", he concluded.
