‘Hold My Hand’, one of the standout tracks from UNKLE’s third album, is the second single to be released from ‘War Stories’. James Lavelle steps up for vocal duties and proves himself more than capable of the task in hand.
The song sees UNKLE strike up a lolloping, menacing groove and turn it into a relentlessly ominous tale of wants, needs, obsessions and pursuit, while cranking up the guitars to 11 with a lorry load of dirty licks and staccato beats.
‘Hold My Hand’ has been given the remix treatment by a selection of top producers from across the musical spectrum with something to suite all tastes.
UNKLE have gone out live for the first time this summer, playing a series of shows and festivals around the world to rave reviews. Their UK highlight to date was headlining the dance tent at the Reading and Leeds festival. The show is an audio-visual feast and exactly what you would expect from a band for whom visual identity and production has always been key. They will be embarking on their first UK tour in November.
Dates are as follows:
12th November – Rock City, Nottingham
13th November – ABC, Glasgow
15th November – Manchester Academy
16h November – Roundhouse, London
