Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) celebrates a return to live music making on December 19th with a performance of a seasonal classic, Handel’s Messiah as part of the Live from the Barbican concert series.

The concert will be both live and livestreamed, available for local and international audiences alike to enjoy.

Richard Egarr directs a glittering array of British talent – soprano Rowan Pierce, countertenor Iestyn Davies, tenor Ben Johnson and bass Ashley Riches.

The performance is co-produced by the Barbican and the Academy of Ancient Music, who are determined to continue their annual tradition of hosting a performance of the Messiah for the festive season.

Messiah will mark AAM’s first performance to a live audience since March 2020.
