Gabriels are pleased to share details of three new UK headline shows for the Spring. Buy tickets below.
The LA trio, who recently made their live bow in London with five sell out shows ahead of their first dates in Europe, will return for three more UK shows interspersed with their support tour of Celeste.
These new headline shows, which include a night at Lafayette in London, will go on pre-sale from Thursday 25th November, and then general sale from 9am on Friday 26th November from here. The band will also play next year’s All Points East in London on 19th August.
Next month Gabriels release their second EP, Bloodline, via Atlas Artists/Parlophone on 3rd December.
Gabriels are fronted by Jacob Lusk, a hugely respected musician in California. He is a singer in its singular, purest form leading congregations across Los Angeles and lighting up stages and rooms with a voice that stops traffic. When he sings, people listen, and they respond accordingly. He has one of those terrifically cavernous deliveries and understands the power of when to adopt restraint and when to let rip. It’s a raw, show-stopping sound.
But one big voice cannot make a band, and in producers Ryan Hope (originally from Sunderland) and producer/soundtrack composer Ari Balouzian, Gabriels take an almost filmic approach to their songwriting and production.
If this year’s debut EP, Love & Hate In A Different Time, (described by Elton John as one of the most ‘seminal’ in a decade) identified Gabriels as a loose-limbed, soul-stirring funk and gospel odyssey, Bloodline hones in on something more darkly shaded, experimental and atmospheric. It’s a late-night drive through the back streets, roaming in and out of the shadows. Intoxicating stuff.
