Ariana Grande e Lady Gaga saranno le grandi protagoniste della notte degli MTV Video Music Awards 2020.
Le due popstar hanno ottenuto nove nomination a testa, seguite da Billie Eilish e The Weeknd con sei.
I quattro artisti si sfideranno per la categoria Video dell’anno, in cui Gaga e Ariana sono presenti in coppia grazie alla collaborazione in “Rain on me”, oltre a Billie (Everything I Wanted) e The Weeknd (Blinding Lights). In lizza per il premio anche Taylor Swift con “The Man”, Future e Drake con “Life Is Good” ed Eminem ft. Juice WRLD con il brano “Godzilla”.
Gaga e The Weeknd, inoltre, si contenderanno il premio di Artista dell’anno con Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion e DaBaby.
“Rain on Me” e “Everything I Wanted” gareggeranno per la statuetta di Canzone dell’anno, al fianco di “Circles” (Post Malone), “Savage” (Megan Thee Stallion), “Say So” (Doja Cat) e “The Box” (Roddy Ricch).
MTV ha aggiunto due categorie, chiaramente riferibili al periodo del lockdown: Best Quarantine Performance e Best Music Video From Home.
I fan potranno votare i loro artisti preferiti sul sito //mtv.com/vma, fino al 23 agosto.
