The Migrations release their self-titled debut EP on 3rd August on all formats.

The Migrations are a group of musicians hailing from Melbourne in Australia, describing themselves as “an eclectic bunch of six friends with sonic benefits”. Made up of frontman Matt “Mildsparrow” Davidson, whose husky voice drives the album of bluesy 1960esque rock.

The EP opens with Overtime- a full frontal, alternative rock country song about thinking and overthinking about things that you shouldn’t. Toe tapping joyous that has placed the clubs all over the Melbourne scene of which they will continue to tour over the coming weeks and months.

The EP continues with If There’s A Heaven which reggae twang adds depth and texture to the collection of song and tracks Crumbling Down and Out Of Play follow in similar blues rock suit. The EP ends with its best track; Messin With My Heart is a classic rocky duet between male and female. Great song and very heartfelt lyrics add real showmanship to this pleasing debut EP and rounds it off nicely.

All in all it’s a modern remake of a bye gone sound with added shimmy and shake
