North London quartet Wolf Alice, who are led by Ellie Rowsell opened the billing with a stellar performance in front of an almost packed crowd. The show coincided with the release of their new song ‘Bros’ which has gathered quite a lot of positive media attention in a short space of time. Rowsell and co showed a fairly large crowd that they were not just there to make up the numbers!

After a short break, the headliners Tribes entered the stage to a packed out Roundhouse! For a band with only 2 albums, the set list was fairly long which pleased the couple of thousand crowd greatly. Tribes, led by singer Johnny Lloyd played a perfect mixture of both their debut album ‘Baby’ and brand new album ‘Wish to Scream’. They introduced new songs such as ‘Dancehall’ and ‘Never heard of Graceland’ as well as playing some classics such as ‘Sappho’ and ‘Halfway Home’.

Lloyd and co were flawless throughout and even added a heartfelt moment. Just before play ‘Nightdriving’, they addressed the crowd and dedicated the song to their friend, the late Charles Haddon.

After 18 songs of pure quality, Tribes returned to the stage after a brief break for the encore and played fan favourite ‘Coming of Age’ which sent the crowd into raptures! The song really summed up a perfect evening of live music….
