Brother and Bones new EP ‘For All We Know’ is the perfect follow-up to their last EP ‘Skin’. Earthy, moody and mesmerising, this third offering is a more mature piece of work and certainly more radio-friendly than the rawness of ‘Skin’. Many young bands fall into the trap of “if it ain’t broke, don’t even try to tweak it” - a feat that Brother and Bones have avoided here showing clear progression of sound.

Although the EP still retains the guttural elements of earlier offerings, tracks such as ‘I See Red’ demonstrate a more melancholy vibe with moments that wouldn’t seem out of place on an Elbow album. The rest of the EP certainly has the Brother and Bones stamp all over it with melodic guitar riffs, haunting harmonies and obligatory thump of the drum. ‘Follow Me Down’ is the stand out track with all these elements intertwined.

In the current industry, it is rare to find a group of lads with such talent and variety of influence. Combining this with a sensational and enthralling live experience, Brother and Bones are a band to watch – and not just if you’re an Xfm or Kerrang! Radio junkie.
