The Killers

With an album trailer released a month or so ago, there has been a lot of positive reaction and great hope that the Killers can return to form with a ‘Hot Fuss’ esc album. Runaways certainly fits the bill and you get the feeling that the Killers are back to their best.

Runaways is a lot more guitar influenced than any song on previous album ‘Day and Age’ which was good, but not their best effort by any stretch.

Brandon Flowers vocals are very passionate and emotive, much like they have been in every song he has featured in. They are certainly at their best during the chorus of the song in which all 4 members of the band combine masterfully to produce a stroke of brilliance!

Hopefully this style of track is continued throughout Battle Born which will allow them once again to reach the great heights that Hot Fuss took them to....
