Deadmau5 lit up the impressive Millbank Tower last week, as they played an exclusive set projected onto the tower to promote the new Nokia Lumia mobile phone. The renowned DJ performed on a balcony on the tower, which was then projected in a fantastic display of 4D visuals onto the full length of the 120m tall building.

The launch of the Nokia Lumia 800, couldn’t have got off to a better start, as over 20,000 fans flocked along both sides of the River Thames to listen to one of the world’s most talented DJ’s. Dressed in his signature yellow mouse head, the crowd were sporting glow in the dark mouse ears as they looked up at the illuminated tower.

Watching from the Riverbank Plaza Hotel across the river, Music-News had the best seats in the house as we watched the amazing visuals. Deadmau5 himself said “visuals have always been an important part of my shows, so the chance to work with Nokia and its projection team on a project of this scale and ambition is really exciting. It’s also great to play such an iconic landmark and to a UK crowd.”

Nokia UK’s Director of Marketing John Nichols said: “The location will allow thousands of people to come and experience something truly amazing and different to anything they have seen before.”

It was an event I am glad we were able to witness!
