Well established Welsh rockers Funeral for a Friend and their legions of fans will not be disappointed by their new offering Sixteen taken from their new album Welcome to Armageddon, out now.

Whilst it may initially seem very samey and therefore nothing new for the band and their style, it feels comfortable and FFAF are essentially doing what they do best. The vocals are, as usual, on point, and the lyrics are very much so of the high quality that listeners have come to expect as a standard.

Embarking on a huge tour this year all over Europe, the band have not sold themselves short with a catchy hook and breakdown that is guaranteed to get gig goers screaming along.

Second track, Owls are Watching is much more early 2000s emotional opening, operatic mastering, back up echoes and flitting between two tempos of hard rock and slowed down punk rock. The vocals hold the song together perfectly, gliding over the mixed up beat. Ending with “Covered in silver light, waiting for the radio to save our lives, are you watching, tell me are they watching, or are you listening at all” over a synth-y backdrop, the atmosphere of the track is serene and
