Luckily tube engineering works didn't interfere with the journey but spartan signing at Greenwich meant this reviewer nearly ended up in the 02 backstage car park!
However when I found the Indigo, was pleasantly surprised; gorgeous venue. Like being aboard the bridge of Blakes 7's Liberator! Helpful staff too, never felt like they were bouncers looking to eject anyone for enjoying themselves.

First up: Supersuckers with a rollicking set of new material. Shame I'd have liked some older anthems but the self-styled, "best rock band in the world" still delivered sounding like George Thorogood and Motorhead amped through a Jack Daniels's sieve! Straight after the gig they were in the pub for Super Bowl. Top lads!
So to our heroes: Can they still hack it, even with fresh blood?

With opener "Are You Ready?" A resounding, YES! Straight into "Waiting For An Alibi" realize that Ricky Warwick fits rather nicely into this set-up. "Jailbreak" heavy as arse! Mr Lynott would be proud of his boys. After "Do Anything" Warwick dropped his guitar to be vocal frontman for "Don't Believe A Word" and "Dancing In The Moonlight" with revamped Lizzy logo / light going blue to augment the mood.

You know what, if this band decide to write new material with Warwick up front it really could work. Confirmed by blistering "Massacre" overcoming a dodgy sound which continued into "Killer On The Loose" but rectified for an awesome "Angel Of Death" no resting on laurels there!

Although Wharton's vocal turn for "Still In Love With You" seemed contrived, Scott Gorham's solo was better than "Live And Dangerous", "Whiskey In The Jar" got the crowd going mental into the heaviest "Emerald" this side of the Boyne and Viv Cambell's solo running the full length of the Liffey!
Brian Downey's turn to defy his age with consumate "Sha -La-La-La" solo.
"Bad Reputation" left the crowd creaming for an encore of the thumping "Rocker" and mildly confused "Black Rose" .

This reviewer hopes the confidence with which they belted-out old fave's and genuine band feel they exuded, encourages them to get into a studio for new Lizzy and tour.
