Tame Impala rise from the distant city of Perth, Australia. The 4-piece play hazy stoner rock and on this showing expect them to join the long list of great Aussie rock exports.

Lucidity is the latest single to be taken from their debut album Innerspeaker. Recalling the brooding rock of Archie Bronson Outfit and Cream, it also flirts outrageously with the realms of psychedelic pop. Think Love jamming with Kyuss. “I know where you went, but I don't know how you got there” sings Kevin Parker nonchalantly, at times recalling 60s era Ray Davies. Excellent on record, live they should be a drunken summer afternoons dream.

Having just played the Reading and Leeds festivals the band return to their homeland for further touring times, before more UK gigs in October. Expect their reputation to have grown by then.
