Anyone who still has any doubts on what Ke$ha’s message is (party, party and party) just take a listen to her new single, ‘Take It Off’. It won’t take you long to realise that her whole album’s got one motto: live life to the max. And drink. "A bottle of whiskey in your handbag” – maybe at this point, you’d have to start worrying about the state of her liver!

This track follows the same formula of her previous singles: electronic pop and cheesy lyrics. Oh, and the most catchy chorus. Just like the ‘Tik Tok’ or ‘Blah Blah Blah’, this song has absolutely no lyrical depth, but it does have a point to make: have a blast!. Basically, the young fiercy pop girl has done it again. ‘Take It Off’ consolidates her in the world of catchy pop hits. It is both radio and club friendly at the same time, and you don’t find that very often, so get prepared to listen to it everywhere. Except live, maybe. Her voice is so auto-tuned I’m quite sceptical about her live performances.

Ke$ha is slowly proving herself. She is not just (another) one-hit star. Sometimes her lyrics have no sense, but ‘Take It Off’ assures you a good night out on the dance floor, and that’s what pop is all about, isn’t it? Fun!
