Hot on the heels of Volume 1 comes Volume 2. The TV show goes from strength to strength making perfect sense to release this second collection of tracks from previous and forthcoming shows.
Again the quality of songs and vocals is strong. Its quite eclectic again, ranging from Creedence Clearwater Revival / Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary' to Lily Allen's 'Smile'.
Some of the stronger tracks include Glee versions of The Pretenders 'I'll Stand By You', 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' from the Broadway show Dreamgirls and Jennifer Paige's pop hit 'Crush'.
There is a also a bizarre version of The Police' 'Don't Stand So Close To Me' merged in with Gary Puckett & The Union Gap's 'Young Girl' - yes really!! Who thought of that one??? Van Halen's 'Jump' gets a very bop-bop-bop version - it's all good fun!!
As before this is one for fans of the show, but even if you haven't caught it yet there are some good, uplifting remakes of pop songs.
