After seeing Ed at two previous iTunes Festival's, my excitement at seeing him again this year was paramount! He is one artist who will always exceed your expectations each time you see him perform. His performance at this year's iTunes date was no different and we were all fixated on the flame-haired singer/rapper/musician for every second of the incredible show.

As the penultimate act of this year's iTunes Festival, Ed told the crowd it was also his first headline show in two years and something tells me he has missed it. He filled his time on stage with both emotional moments and surges of fun, with the screens behind him providing sensational visuals of the show.

Shunning the 'polished' look, Ed wearing his usual modest attire always ensures his music really connects with the audience, involving us in the gig at different points like when he split us in half and we became a huge gospel choir - a truly magical moment!

The show was kicked off with 'I'm A Mess' from his latest album 'X' and Sheeran also delved into the '+' album with songs like 'Drunk' and 'Lego House'. Another oldie he performed for us was 'The A Team' as well as a truly epic performance of one of my favourite's 'You Need, I Don't Need You'.

He also performed 'Bloodstream', 'Take It Back', 'Thinking Out Loud' and 'I See Fire' from 'X', in true Ed style he mixed in snippets of Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' and Chris Brown's 'Loyal', which the audience loved!

To end the show, Ed told us all to sing his final song at the top of our voices, throughout the performance and all the way home! Of course, it was his huge hit 'Sing' he was referring to, which then saw us all waving our arms and singing along to the catchy chorus to finish the show off on a big high.

The thing about Ed is when he sings, you believe every word he says, there is an honesty to him and that is the reason so many people love him. He still acts like an average guy... except for the fact he can sing so, so beautifully! The kind of magic he has created with his music is genuine and it's what had some audience members in tears one minute and dancing like maniacs the next!

Ed's certainly one the most special artists of our time and we can't wait for the next time!
