Yes Sir Boss

Jazz pop group Yes Sir Boss are the first act to be signed to Stoned Records (set up and owned by soul singer Joss Stone) and have gained her vocal help on their new single Mrs #1 out April 15th.

The song is amass of catchy horn melodies and driving smooth funk bass combatted with the rough vocals of singer Matthew Sellors. The diverse comparison between the smooth funk accompaniment and Sellors gruff sound is a grower and is just what the otherwise mediocre band need to drive the single. The input from Joss Stone’s voice too bind the song together well. The overall sound is brilliant and a real ‘bopping’ track.

A good start from the fledgling band but some work is needed.

YSB continue to tour the UK and have a string of festival dates and are working towards their second album later on this year.
