Years & Years are a band that are definitely going to have a great year ahead. Even though the band are relatively new to the industry, the electro-pop trio have already begun to make their mark.
Hailing from London, the band consists of Olly Alexander on lead vocals and keyboard, Mikey Goldsworthy on bass and Emre Turkmen is the band's synth player.
Nominated as one of this year's MTV Brand New artists of 2015, their new song ‘Desire’ has already hit the number 15 on the iTunes chart and has almost 3 million YouTube views.
‘Desire’ has a strong and tuneful melody and Olly has a distinctive and attractive vocal tone that really compliments the track. So far, the bands songs have delved into the popular subjects of love and passion and this track is no different. A bit of electro rhythm compliments the vocal track perfectly, giving it an overall gritty and atmospheric feel. I, for one am looking forward to hearing the full album!
