We Are Augustines - Juarez - Printable version
The world and his brother have been praising Brooklyn’s best and this single shows exactly why they are so enthused.

From a slow opening with a softly strummed guitar on its own, the impassioned vocals come in singing about the town on the Mexican side of the border with the US.
They build a huge tale of passion, violence and the destruction of a town without ever going over the top but leaving you almost exhausted by the rise and sheer power of the track.
The band have learnt a lot from U2 about building the power in a number and with Billy Mcarthy’s hoarse vocals they deliver a brilliant piece sitting on the join of Americana and Rock.
B-side ‘Saint Behind The Glass’ – the Los Lobos number – has a Mexicali feel and is very danceable. Altogether an excellent release.

The band are playing live in the UK at present:
6th May - Hare and Hounds, Birmingham
9th May - Academy 2, Liverpool
10th May - ABC 2, Glasgow
12th May - Psychosocial, Great Escape Festival, Brighton

7th July - T in the Park Festival, Kinross, Scotland
15th July - Latitude Festival, Southwold
