Thousands of teenagers flocked to Victoria Park on Sunday (1st August) for the underage festival. This festival is strictly for teenagers 14 to 18- no adults allowed!! There were over 60 acts performing on 6 different stages or tents. The likes of MIA, Hadoken, Professor Green, Ellie Goulding, Donaeo to mention a few wowed the crowds with sets of their best hits.
There was music for everyone, all genres to suit all tastes. From the teen sensation Fugative, who not only performed to hundreds of screaming girls (and some guys!!) but took time out to autograph posters for his fans, to rockers The Courteeners, who performed a 30 minute set on the main stage.
Other acts included Tinchy Stryder whose performance was amazing; Chiddy Bang and Tinie Tempah graced the main stage and gave electrifying performances too.
There were plenty of places to buy mementos and chances to win prizes, also the chance to support charities like WAR Child or UNICEF.
All the food stalls you could want were all there, Mexican, pizza burgers, Indian, ice cream EVERYTHING!! And if you could brave the smell, there were toilets dotted around the park too. However this was a fantastic event and I’d recommend it to anyone.
