Containing four original songs, The Vice have created a taster shot into the world of post-punk, and is a must have EP in the home of any indie-fan. The deep, clear orotund voice of Elliot Stanford (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) completely defines the sounds of true British indie rock, cushioned with the soft echoes of the backing vocals from Dominic Wallace (vocals and lead guitar), who drives each song with his upbeat and energetic electric riffs.

Amongst the four tracks, two really stood out for me. Both ‘The Shakes’ and ‘Blue Harvest’ had the power to lift my spirit, inflate my mood and douse me in energy, whether it’s the fresh, clear beats of Cameron Black’s Drums or the unfailing tunes from Andrew Girdler(bass), these songs have to be my favourites on this very strong, sharp and sublime EP. The Vice emits youthful, authentic musical talent, and this EP shows you that within the first few seconds of the first track (Song 6).

The wave of the modern crisp sounds of post-punk is definitely rising in popularity, and The Vice is riding it as if it were their own. This first-rate EP is worth every penny, no matter how much you play it, each song never grows old and worn—which is priceless in today’s music world. The vibes from each vigour track reminds us that natural talent does still exist out there, and I have no doubt that The Vice will be soon become a hugely well-known name on the indie-rock spectrum.
