Taken from The Joy Formidable’s second album, Little Blimp is probably not one of the strongest tracks on the record. Having said that it does its job of giving people an idea of what they sound like and what they are missing.

Take a pounding bass and drum intro, add in a frenzy of guitars and other noises and you have a sound that is by turns alternative and breeze block heavy. You then have Ritzy Bryan’s distinctive airy vocals, that really shouldn’t work in this maelstrom, but are the perfect foil. All in all, a gentle introduction to one of the UK’s most promising bands.
