Very much looking the part, The Bohicas hit the stage for the last show of their 4 date residency at The Social and immediately launch into an energetic performance of gun slinging rock ‘n’ roll. Whilst hailing from Essex, their main influences stem from across the pond. From garage rock to the Beach Boys to Queen of the Stone Age indie, American influences are everywhere.

The boys revel in what is a high intensity set. Good harmonies are backed up with a heavy, groovy bass and angular guitar riffs as the tunes come thick and fast. The audience at this intimate venue seem to be mesmerised from the off as they reel of their best known tracks ‘Swarm’, ‘Crush Me’, ‘To Die For’ whilst new single ‘Where You At’ and ‘XXX’ are the pick of the bunch for me. The night comes to a triumphant finale and they certainly did enough to whet the appetite to see them again

The Bohicas are creating a bit of a buzz and will be playing various festivals over the summer but if you can’t wait that long then here’s a link to their site for the full listing of their upcoming UK tour and all future gigs - http://www.dominorecordco.com/thebohicas/
