From the brilliant cover art to the warm opening drum patterns this record has summer written all over it. The lilting tempo encompasses mellow tribal beats with soft edged house grooves full of filtered samples and culminates in a beautiful breakdown that drops ever so gently into calypso soul. The title says it all as this wonderfully sunny record makes the listener dream of dancing on terraces in the sunshine with cocktail in hand. Rarely do dance records have such poise and control in their productions that they wrong foot the audience but this record keeps ducking and diving until it settles on the most gorgeous of grooves making you wish it lasted even longer.
Sam Young is one of the most accomplished DJ slash producer working in London right now and has been responsible for the soundtrack to some of the city’s greatest parties over the last ten years. He has supported the likes of Hot Chip and Felix Tha Housecat amongst many others and was also the first person to be awarded the 'Best DJ' award twice at the London club and bar awards in 2007 and 2010. His prodigious talents have obviously been put to good use on this fantastic record and the depth of his musical knowledge is easy to hear on this essential track. So as the heatwave hits the humid streets of London crack open something cold and fizzy and put this feelgood hit of the summer on full blast, you won’t regret it.
