After the success of her excellent Shake The Tree album, American singer Nell Bryden returns with a slight change of direction on this impressive single to round off a great 2013. All You Had was written earlier this year, with London based co-writers Lorne Brigham Bowes and Dario Darnell. You can imagine it being sung as genlt acoustic track - but the single has benefited from some dance production, in the style of Sophie Ellis Bextor at her best.

She was introduced to Lorne and Dario after they each contributed a song to the new Cher album, which also features a cover of one of Bryden's tracks - the excellent Sirens. It will be interesting to see where this collaboration takes Bryden's sound in 2014 and beyond, because she is a hugely talented singer with a wonderful voice. For proof, check out the Live in London album that is released alongside this single.

It was recorded on her May 2013 UK tour at Bush Hall in London, and contains live band versions of her best known songs, including a superb version of the aforementioned Sirens and the delightful Downtown Lullaby.
