Having revealed their Brand New For 2012 list MTV invited Music-News.com down to a closely guarded secret location to interview some of the future stars.
In the last 4 years MTV Brand New has identified international stars such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber & Ke$ha, as well as the cream of UK talent including Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 and Jessie J.

Conor Maynard - (EMI)
MTV Overview - Having scored over 40 million hits on YouTube, and amassed 150,000 Facebook followers before even releasing a debut single, 18-year old Brightonian Conor Maynard is a musical force to be reckoned with. His homemade videos and soulful vocals have turned him into an internet phenomenon and having recently signed to Parlophone, Connor Maynard’s star continues to rise exponentially.

King Charles - (Island Records)
MTV Overview - West London singer/songwriter King Charles is a fascinating new artist. As a long term collaborator with Mumford & Sons and having toured with the likes of Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale, King Charles’ bohemian flair and unique songwriting has garnered him a lot of tastemaker support from the likes of Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq. Signed to Island, King Charles is set to release his debut album in early 2012 through their popular Communion label to much anticipation.
Angel - (Universal)
MTV Overview - 23 year-old West London singer-songwriter Angel has penned hit tracks for the likes of Roll Deep, Pixie Lott and Jason Derulo while honing his own unique sound. His soulful vocals and distinctive rapping style have already caused waves of excitement online and with a storming album featuring Wiley and Wretch 32 waiting in the wings and heavy support from the likes of Trevor Nelson, Angel is one of the hottest new UK talents around.
Clement Marfo & The Frontline - (Warner Bros. Records)
MTV Overview - Having recently supported the likes of Plan B, Dizzee Rascal and Florence + the Machine, 7 piece hip-hop collective Clement Marfo and the Frontline have already earned themselves a devout live following. Formed only two years ago in South London the Warner Brothers Records signed act have since made a huge impact on the UK urban scene and with their highly anticipated debut album released early next year, they are set to smash into the consciousness of music fans everywhere.

Charli XCX - (Atlantic)
MTV Overview - 19 year old Charli has been in bands since she was 7 years old. Having already supported the likes of Peaches and Robyn and played at notable festivals like Bestival, her electro-goth pop style has seen her championed by hipsters and tastemakers alike across blogs, style mags, and specialist radio. With a plethora of emotive dark pop songs, and backed by a growing army of top producers and worldwide fans, Charli is not like your run-of-the-mill musician.
Delilah - (Atlantic Records)
MTV Overview - London-born and bred Delilah has proven pop star quality. Having already scored hits through collaborations with Chase and Status and her first solo single, “Go”, the stunning songstress has caused a huge stir since arriving on the scene earlier this year. Her strength and versatility as a songwriter and singer coupled with her unique sound sets her apart from her contemporaries.
