Favourite Movie of all time: Avatar
Favourite holiday destination and why?: London for the shopping, musicals and nightlife
Eurovision is a very important event for the Maltese people, yet other countries take it with a pinch of salt? What are your views?
I think we’re very restricted when it comes to music opportunities here in Malta so for this reason the Eurovision is known as being the biggest showcase and a stepping stone to the local artists.
Besides yourself, who is your favourite act to win Malta Eurovision 2015?
Ekklesia the singing nuns
Describe your feeling on ‘Xarabank’ TV show when you realized you had been chosen as one of the Finalists?:
It was a very exciting feeling and I still can’t believe that I have made it with the top 20 finalists!
Rumours had it that Ira Losco would submit a song this year!! Do you think established artists like Ira, Joseph Calleja, Ivan Grech (Winter Moods) and others should consider taking part in Malta Eurovision and why/why not?:
Well the contest is open to everyone but in my opinion I think that it would be quite risky for them to enter the festival having reached a certain standard and also I think it would only be fair to give a chance to the upcoming artists.
Can you tell us of any curious/funny incidents you may have had whilst performing?
Ohhh here it goes! Well one time I was gigging at local venue with my session musician last summer and the last thing I remember is that I was singing away then suddenly I accidentally tripped over the sound wires and found myself flat on the floor facing an audience laughing their hearts out! I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t get back on my feet to continue singing apart from my high heels which didn’t help at all. So someone from backstage came running to help me get back up and carry on with my performance. I guess these things happen when you least expect them but you know what they say…the show must go on!
Why should the Maltese public vote for your song to represent Malta in 2015?:
I think my entry is strong enough to stand out and has a lot of potential as a power ballad. I also believe that I have a very professional team behind me to give my very best on the night!
