Kids on Bridges

After reading the bumph that accompanied the CD there was some trepidation about this single. Attacking bankers for being greedy is like shooting fish in a barrel. However get past that, into the music and it’s actually very good.

Lyrical subtlety is not the name of the game here and Bankers to Feed is a knunckledusted fist to the profession. The contempt is all to clear Christian Bragg’s abrasive vocals. As to the music, it’s lively, poppy and boppy with more than a whiff of The Clash about it but the clever use of synths distinguishes it. It’s short, to the point and very enjoyable.
