Kagoule - Monarchy - Printable version
Industrial grunge youngsters Kagoule debut single here. Forming in Nottingham and straight off getting attention from Radio 1 and XFM with their demo ‘Made Of Concrete’ last year. Now they return with their debut single for release on 25th February “Monarchy” with a B-side of “Mudhole”

A homage to 90s grunge the wall of sound Monarchy erupts with a good grunge vibe with a solid drive to it. The combination of visceral guitar with dark ominous lyrics is stuff worthy of the early 90’s grunge scene. An unsettling mixture which is fantastical but at times bleak. Mudhole carries on the trend as well with dreamlike fuzz and glassy guitar.

A band which would sound at home in alt bands from Fugazi to Smashing Pumpkins. A sound ready to implode and fuel a mosh-pit to solid avail. An enticing teaser into their new album which is set to release in 2013.
If you like your alt-rock I would keep my eye on this band.

Kagoule- Monarchy/Mudhole is set to release on 25th Feb 2013

They will also be playing the following shows:
16th Feb- Nottingham, Chameleon
26th Feb- Leicester- Cookie Jar
27th Feb- Leeds, Nation Of Shopkeepers
28th Feb- Manchester- Trof Fallowfield
