Jamie Hall, 41, and his friend Mike MacKool are founders of Detroit Bike City and it’s main event Slow Roll.
These bike riding events are transforming Detroit. Not only are they getting up to 4,000 bike riders mobilised at their events but these riders, many from out of town, are helping to revitalise the city bringing welcome trade to large areas on their Monday night ride.
Jason has developed his love and appreciation for Detroit and biking and turned it into a mass event. Monday night between 7 - 8.30 is Slow Roll night, which runs from April to October. They also hold an annual biking expo at COBO Center.
With the help of Virgin Atlantic we had a taster of Slow Roll and can say it is a fantastic initiative.
