This is the fourth single from Fyfe Dangerfield’s solo album Fly Yellow Moon.

The first track Barricades is a ballad, basically him at the piano with the requisite strings in the background. It’s very nice and heartfelt, but also a bit hackneyed to be honest. It’s the sort of tune that would earn the pianist polite applause in the hotel cocktail lounge.

Much better is She Needs Me. This is a no expense spared big production number. The sort of thing that would wow them in the aisles in Las Vegas, it’s that garish and over the top. No expense or kitchen sink has been spared, and gaudy as it may be, it succeeds because it’s quite clear Dangerfield is having a ball.
