London based, alt-pop artist Ella On The Run is set to release new single 'Star Lion', taken from her 'War of Words' EP.
Of Star Lion, Ella says “it's about that internal battle, when you're aware of the dangers but still wanting to give in to someone both emotionally and physically.”
Of Swiss, French and South-African origin, Ella studied music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the US. She began recording under the guise Ella On The Run in LA with producer/co-writer Matthew Bang (previously an engineer for Interscope and Timbaland's Mosley Music group). Ella works closely with co- producer, Swedish prodigy Lukasz who adds the Scandinavian electronic pop influence to her sound.
Her debut single Golden Boys was placed onto Glastonbury's long list for emerging artists in 2014. In October, she was filmed and interviewed by the BBC who visited her on the set of her single 'War of Words' about age restrictions on music videos. 'War of Words', was supported heavily by titles such as Clash, BBC News, Huffington Post, Spindle magazine and, more recently, BBC Introducing. Ella is heading to LA in April 2015 to begin recording her next EP.
Ella On The Run's laid back vocals and her synth pop vibes have caused a stir in the industry, appearing in various unsigned guide playlists including the Best of British unsigned podcast. A popular live performer, after recently supporting Clement Marfo in February, Ella has a busy live calendar throughout 2015.
