Having exploded into the top 5 on Itunes last week after their incendiary performance on the BBC Music Awards Show, Catfish And The Bottlemen, release epic new single ‘Kathleen’ February 9th on Communion/Island Records.
‘Kathleen’ grabs you from the very first note with its high-octane guitars and crashing drums, and is taken from their debut album ‘The Balcony’. Produced by Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) and written by charismatic front man Van McCann, the album is packed full of radio favourites with ‘Kathleen’ following the Radio 1, XFM and 6Music playlisted tracks ‘Cocoon’, ‘Homesick’, ‘Rango’ and ‘Pacifier’.
With Catfish And The Bottlemen winning the coveted Best Newcomer at the BBC Music Awards last week, the UK have gone Catfish crazy. And the US is not far behind. Next month the band return to the USA where this week ‘Kathleen’ became the number 1 most added song at Alternative Radio. They tape a prestigious Letterman show first week of January, before heading off to Australia and Japan.
Currently forging a reputation as one of the UK’s best live acts, they spend most of February and March touring the States, returning to the UK March 24th for the start of another sold out UK tour.
2015 is theirs for the taking.
