Fresh from being nominated at this year's MOBO Awards for the video to his recent single ‘Work Get It’, Scorcher releases follow up track, ‘No One Else’.
A melodic and intoxicating beat from Young Kye, Scorcher lays down a captivating vocal as you get lost in both the melody and the words. With has a history of creating mix tapes that have become classics in the UK grime scene, Scorcher leads into the release of new EP, ‘1 Of 1’ with a solid foundation.
His first release ‘Work Get It’ soared into the iTunes hip hop chart and maintained a top 10 position for a number of weeks alongside playlist support at 1Xtra, Rinse FM and MTV Base. With all eyes and ears on Scorcher, it would seem ‘No One Else’ is set to follow history.
Scorcher says of the upcoming 9-track EP, "I'm trying to make music people can live with - more than just music for the club, radio or car. I'm trying to bring people into my world and be a part of it, like IMAX."
Available on 17th November, ‘No One Else’ is taken from the ‘1 of 1’ EP which is due for release the following week on the 24th November. The launch will be celebrated at the famous Jazz Café as fans and friends get to sample the EP live in an evening set to be packed full of guest appearances and entertainment.
