Keep a Child Alive announced today that Grammy Award-winning artist Pharrell Williams has joined the line-up of performers at the 10th Annual Black Ball taking place on November 7, 2013 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Alongside Pharrell will be performances by Keep a Child Alive Global Ambassador and event host Alicia Keys as well as the legendary Carole King, beloved jazz/R&B artist Roy Ayers, British soul singer Laura Mvula and opera singer Kathleen Battle.

In celebration of Black Ball’s 10th year, Keep a Child Alive has invited back two standout artists from years past including Roy Ayers who performed at the inaugural Black Ball in 2004, and Kathleen Battle who sang alongside Keys at the 2007 Black Ball. KCA is excited to bring artists Pharrell Williams, Carole King and Laura Mvula to the Black Ball stage for the first time. Also joining the Black Ball stage this year will be Swizz Beatz who will be DJing the evening’s Afterglow finale.

Keep a Child Alive’s Black Ball is a star-studded event where celebrity and philanthropy join hand in hand. The evening celebrates the work of Keep a Child Alive and raises millions for children and families affected by HIV in Africa and India. Past performers have included Jay-Z, Adele, David Bowie, Sade, Bono, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and many more incredible artists. This star-studded event has currently raised over $18.5 million for children and families affected by HIV.
