Oxjam Dalston has lined up the best in new music for a much anticipated day festival in East London, aiming to raise money for poverty and injustice charity Oxfam.

The festival, organised entirely by a team of local volunteers, will see 8 venues around Dalston open their doors to music and arts lovers with an impressive line up featuring over 50 bands and DJ’s.
Lasting from 2pm - 6am on Saturday 19 October, the festival will see performances from the likes of Tâches, Ligers, Sophie Jamieson, Milk Teeth, Zoe LDN, Conrad Kira, Yeah!, Brackles, Autoheart, Paradice Garage plus many more.

The eclectic line up will boast indie, electronic, folk, spoken word and world music artists meaning there will be something on offer for everyone.

Eight local venues including Dalston Social, The Nest, The Dalston Victoria, Servant Jazz Quarters, Moustache Bar, The Showman’s Guild, Marquis of Lansdowne, and Tipsy Bar have all donated their space to Oxjam Dalston for free and will each host an array of acts throughout the day.

The wristband exchange at Tipsy Bar, 20 Stoke Newington Road N16 7XN, will be open from 2pm on Saturday 19th October and once collected the wristbands will gain festival goers entry to all Oxjam Dalston Takeover events depending on venue capacity.

The Oxjam Dalston Takeover marks the end of a string of fundraising events aiming to raise £15,000 for Oxfam by the end of October.

The Oxjam Dalston organisers and headliners appeared on Shoreditch Radio for an interview and three exclusive sessions. You can listen again via www.mixcloud.com/shoreditchradio.
