Previous experience at ‘Indifest’ ? :No, this is my first time in the indifest and I am very excited.
How do you see your chances in winning ‘Indifest’ this year? :I believe in my song and I believe that I have as much a chance of winning as the other competitors.
What is your opinion on Competitions (local)? : I think that competitions are great for people to show their talent, and even though we are a small island we have a lot to offer.
What is your favourite music style? : Pop and soul
When and how did your life in music start? : From a very young age I always showed an interest in music ,drama and dance. But my singing career started when my home town started a festival fundraiser for Puttinu Cares and I took part with a good friend of mine in my first duet, she took me to her teacher who showed me that I had potential and the rest has brought me here.
Do you write your own stuff? – and if so what inspires you? : No, not yet but in the future I would like to.
What are your biggest ambitions in music? As with all Maltese singers, I aspire to be one of Malta's representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest, and I also would like to perform locally in musicals and on TV and perhaps abroad.
A 3 word comment about The Eurovision Song Contest? Opportunity, Creativity and Music.
Describe a typical day in your life? During the scholastic year I focus on school, making time for musicals, rehearsals, drama and vocal lessons. In summer I take part in preparation for festivals, searching for new songs and vocal rehearsals. This year I had a new project as a DJ at my local radio station and learning the technical aspects of Media.
Favourite sport ?: Rugby, football
Favourite book ?: Harry Potter series
Favourite films ?: Titanic and the Harry potter series
Favourite holiday/trip ?: Paris, Canada and America.
Do you have a message to The Maltese Nation?: If someone tries to put you down just believe in yourself and don’t care about what others think of you. Just keep looking towards the future.
