Boardmasters - the festival which sees music lovers and surf enthusiasts alike flock to Newquay's Fistral Beach - this week announced the line up for its After Parties, which take place after the main stages close each night and promise to keep revellers going til the early waves break.

The parties, which run for all four nights of the event, open with Eton Messy plus Tall House's Tim Nice and Andy Durkin. Friday and Saturday line ups include Bondax, Karma Kid and Gorgon City and bringing the festival to a close on Sunday will be Duke Dumont, whose single 'Need U' hit the top of the charts. The finale party will be held at legendary Newquay nightspot Bertie's.

Entry is also now open for Boardmasters surf contests - multi discipline events where pro surfers compete with 'have a go heroes' - and the festival can already confirm that 2002 Boardmasters champion and twice UK Pro Tour champion Russell Winter and 2012 UK Pro Tour champion Jayce Robinson will both be in action for the professionals!

Headlining the mainstage over the Boardmasters event (this year from 7-11th August) will be Basement Jaxx, The Vaccines and Ben Howard whilst the Unleashed stage sees Benga, SMD and Grandmaster Flash.
