Two more Amy Winehouse albums to be released this year

Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch has revealed that there is more music to come from the late singer.

Mitch Winehouse spoke to BBC Radio 6, promoting his new memoir Amy, My Daughter (with all proceeds going to charity), and revealed that there is enough material recorded by his daughter for at least one, if not two, posthumous albums.

He said, “I’m not sure that there is much more but I’m sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two. There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don’t want want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don’t want to put out dross.”

The posthumous Winehouse album Lioness: Hidden Treasures, was a big hit last year, and featured five covers and a reworking of her early single ‘Valerie’.

Rapper Nas recently aired his second collaboration with Winehouse, ‘Cherry Wine’, which will be on his new album Life Is Good on July 17.
