Justin Bieber 'Believe' is this year’s biggest USA debut

Justin Bieber ‘Believe’ sold 374,000 units in its first week in America last week giving it the highest selling first week sales of the year.

According to Billboard.com, Madonna ‘MDNA’ held the record up until this week with 359,000 sales but that was embroiled in controversy with album sales also counted with ticket sales.

Bieber has beaten his own record for one week sales. His previous biggest week was April, 2010 when ‘My World 2.0’ sold 291,000 in its second week on sale.

For Bieber, ‘Believe’ gives him his forth number one album in two and a half years.

The previous album to ‘Believe’ to sell in bigger number was Drake ‘Take Care’ in December, 2011 with 631,000 sales.
