Rihanna has reportedly been ordered to go to rehab by her mentor Jay-Z.
Sources have claimed that the singer's party-loving lifestyle has been spiralling out of control for months and her label is threatening to take action if she doesn't sort herself out.
The Where Have You Been singer frequently posts pictures and updates about her busy schedule and nights out on Twitter, but recently these included a visit to a strip club, her hospitalisation and the admission that she missed a flight after partying the night away.
'Rihanna has been out of control for months. She was supposed to catch a flight back to the UK last week, but she ended up missing it, which was the final straw for management. Jay-Z hit the roof when he found out, and told Rihanna, 'Go to rehab now or I'll drop you from the label.' She's not happy, but she now feels she has no choice,' an insider told British magazine Closer.
Rihanna is said to be at the end of her physical and mental strength because of her intense schedule and troubled personal life.
The 24-year-old has also come under scrutiny for allegedly getting close to her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown again. He assaulted the star in 2009.
The Bajan beauty has also been worried about her poorly grandmother, who is suffering from cancer.
'She's reached breaking point. Ri says she's physically and mentally exhausted and feeling lost. I think she desperately needs help and some time off - not just from work but from all the other stresses in her life too,' the source added.
Another publication claims that the global star is increasingly turning to alternative therapies and unconventional forms of guidance to regain control of her life.
Rihanna is said to have become obsessed with astrology and has retweeted her horoscope an incredible 41 times over a period of seven days.
'I think Rihanna's recognised she needs to change, but doesn't know where to turn,' a friend of the singer told British magazine Look.
