Andre 3000 steps out as Jimi Hendrix

A photo has hit the internet of Outkast’s Andre 3000 dressed for his role in the Jimi Hendrix biopic.

It looks like the forthcoming biopic of Jimi Hendrix, to be titled All Is By My Side, has begin shooting in Ireland, judging by a paparazzi-style photo that is spreading across the internet.

Andre 3000 signed up to play Hendrix and will reportedly shoot the film over six weeks at locations in Bray, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin, according to The Guardian. The film is being directed by John Ridley, who wrote Three Kings.

Andre 3000 is also readying his solo debut, according to Outkast bandmate Big Boi.

Andre Benjamin’s previous acting experience includes supporting roles in Guy Ritchie’s Revolver, Will Ferrell’s Semi-Pro, Four Brothers, Be Cool, and the crime series The Sheild.
