Pop/Rock 6-piece THE MARS PATROL headline The Bull & Gate in Kentish Town, London this Thursday evening. The band are playing a one-off show before going into the studio in June to record a new EP, or as they're calling it, (in their typically ambitious style) the first half of their album.

The band has set up a 'Pledge Music' campaign to finance the record which they'll produce in a secluded country house in the south of England. "Pledge music is a way for indie bands like us to pre-sell their record in order to raise money to be able to record it", says singer Davina Divine. "Our fans and friends have been very generous so far and we hope that will continue and eventually allow us to make this record in return".

Not only can you pledge for the record, the more flamboyant among us can pledge for a number of wild and whacky objects or opportunities... Davina's boots, a pair of the band's trademark red jeans, a personal gig in your own living room... or even an executive producer credit on the record.

With tickets for Thursday's show selling rapidly, the band will look to gauge the reaction to some brand new material set to appear on the upcoming record. Guitarist Ross Nelson says "it's been a while since we've played in London so we're excited to get our new songs out there. Look out for a track called 'Young Lovers'. It's poppy, clean and current whilst maintaining an original Mars Patrol edge. We hope people like it!"
