This summer, Nando’s will be taking its much-loved PERi-PERi chicken to the great British outdoors with three ‘gig meets picnic’ events in scenic city parks. Nando’s GigNics will be a perfectly packaged PERi-PERi picnic, set against the backdrop of a sizzling summer soundtrack. The three free events will bring together and celebrate the people behind the restaurant revolution - the fans!
Each GigNic will feature live performances from some of Nando’s hottest fans including Rizzle Kicks, Clement Marfo and The Frontline. Interspersed with world music performances and DJ sets, the day will bring together an eclectic mix of musical cultures and styles offering 8 hours of non-stop Nando’s entertainment. Kicking off at midday, the one-day events will take place in London on Saturday 9th June, Leeds on Saturday 16th June and Glasgow on Saturday 23rd June.
The picnic vibe will offer friends and families a unique laid-back xPERi-ence; the chance to grab a deck chair or a picnic blanket and feast on PERi-PERi chicken, al fresco. Whilst the main stage pumps out some of the country’s hottest artists there’ll be plenty of sideshow entertainment to keep busy.
Fans can apply for their free tickets exclusively at Nandos from 17th April. 2000 tickets per event will be rewarded to fans by random selection. To be in with a chance of securing your place on the first GigNic’s UK tour make sure you register online before 30th April 2012.
