The Black Keys frontman will work on LA greaser rock sensation Hanni El Khatib’s second album.

Hanni El Khatib revealed to LA Weekly that he’ll be working on the follow-up to the excellent Will The Guns Come Out of last year with Dan Auerbach.

They will be working together later on this year at Auerbach’s Nashville studio, the logo for which Khatib actually designed.

Khatib revealed that they met while DJing at a friend’s Parisian bar.

“He went deep into music and started dropping knowledge about all these obscure L.A. bands,” Khatib reveals, “We ended up going back and forth deejaying all night.”

Auerbach has recently produced work from UK up-and-comer Michael Kiwanuka, indie band Tennis, and will work with an act called Hacienda.
