Neil Young and Crazy Horse will drill back to the very roots of American music with ‘Americana’ in June.

The first Crazy Horse album since 2003’s ‘Greendale’ does Crazy Horse versions of traditional classics like ‘She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain’, ‘Tom Dooley’ and ‘Clementine’.

‘Tom Dooley’ becomes a Crazy Horse reinvention epic weighing in at 8:13.

The album features the classic Crazy Horse line-up of Neil Young, Bill Talbot, Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro and Ralph Molina.

Young commented in the album earlier this year at Sundance saying They’re songs we all know from Kindergarten.

Neil grew up in Canada which maybe accounts for his childhood memory of the final song ‘God Save The Queen’.
