The Waiting Room is excited to announce a DJ set by Gilles Peterson, one of the most respected DJs and tastemakers in the industry, whose influence extends throughout the world via his radio shows, record label and high profile DJ sets.
This is a rare opportunity to catch Gilles DJ in such an intimate venue, as he headlines Catchment at the newly launched The Waiting Room. The 120 capacity venue, formerly known as The Drop, opens on 8 March under new direction from 586 Ltd, the team behind the Lock Tavern, Shacklewell Arms and a host of events including Field Day, Nail the Cross, and the Lanzarote shows. Retaining the much-loved original interior features and some of the most popular regular parties, The Waiting Room boasts an exciting programme that promises to nurture the city’s rising promotional talent, with the official Field Day and Apple Cart events, as well as shows from BleeD, Eat Your Own Ears, Sexbeat, and confirmed DJ appearances from Hot Chip, Ghostpoet, Don Letts, Demdike Stare, Raime, Walls and Sven Weisemann.
Tickets are only available on the door priced at £8, and support will come from Patchwork Pirates DJs, who are behind the creative collective Earnest Endeavours. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
