The Amy Winehouse DVD entitled Never Forgotten has been recalled after the licensor failed to clear some of the footage in the film.

The recall was detailed in an e-mail obtained by Noise11 sent from the distributor Madman Entertainment.

Following advice from the licensor, all stores have been ordered to destroy all copies of the DVD immediately.

The DVD was released in Australia on November 30, 2011. It is not clear how many copies were sold. It documents the singers life including the breakup of her marriage, her drug addiction and her death.

Winehouse had sold over five million copies of her 2006 album Back to Black and won five Grammy awards.

She died on July 23, 2011. The coroner ruled the death as “death by misadventure”.
